Custom radar arch installed
Just finished installing my custom radar arch. Tyler at Cascade Fabworks did an amazing job making my design a reality. Next up - installing the radar dome and getting the canvas cockpit brow cover built.

Re: Custom radar arch installed
Agreed, it looks quite nice and some very skilled weld stitching. Your fabricatator did a fine job.
It looks like you incorporated a bit of a cockpit shade / roof extension into it as well which looks propotionately pleasing. Curious, how much of an extension?
Looking forward to seeing things as this project moves along.

Re: Custom radar arch installed
Thanks Anthony! I'm looking forward to getting it finished.
Kevin - I'm liking the term 'proportionately pleasing' The cockpit extension is going to provide good shade, and also a good overhang for when I'm trolling in the PNW liquid sunshine... For the arch I decided on 2 ft. high so I could still get paddleboards or an inflatable under. For the extension / shade I went 2 ft. back from the back tube of the arch. Just enough to provide some cover, without stressing the arch mounts, and where it won't get in the way fishing. The key was having my fabricator bend it to match the camber of the roofline for the arch and for the extension. Makes it look like it belongs on the boat.

Re: Custom radar arch installed
Update - took 2-3 months to get on the schedule and get the canvas work done. Crazy how far people are booking out. Updated pics with canvas, radar, antennas all installed. Now for haul out and bottom paint, then ready to go! Also got on the waitlist for bottom job in late Feb, finally got hauled out today...

Re: Custom radar arch installed
Started the project last October, but that's how these things go sometimes... Fabrication time, getting on the anodizer's schedule, finding weather windows to install over the winter, then the canvas lead time. It all adds up.
