New Transmission

Post by JJ28 »

Anyone know where I might buy a new transmission for my 2006 Albin 28TE. with a Yanmar engine. Im looking for model ZF63A with a 2:1 Ratio. So far all I have found is rebuilt gear.

Thanks, Jeff

That's probably because you are searching for a discontinued gear. The ZF68A supersedes and is an exact / upgraded replacement for the ZF63A and Hurth HSW630A. It has internal improvements to reduce gear noise and is the same externally for direct interchangeability.

"Once again. Rob to the rescue."

No small part of why I am here at AOG. We own an A25, worlds away from 28s on up, but I read most of the new posts because I am always learning something applicable to our boat.

And Rob no longer owns an Albin.

Thanks, again, Rob.
