Where's South!
Forgive us crazy Bostonians, we believe anything beyond Route 128 is the West Coast and anything south of Cape Cod the South!

Mass Bay Event
I'm in for a Mass Bay Event where ever she lands. Boston sounds good or even the Pymouth suggestion that was floated earlier. Either way

Dates?
Looks like Boston is a top contender. If so, let me know which dates work and I'll see if I can get some special pricing. Here are some options:
June 6-8
June 20-22
June 27-29
If someplace on Long Island is preferred, then maybe a Boston event in the early Fall.

Boston
They all work for me, I say the later (warmer) the better. There should be some bass around by the later 2 weekends, no?

Hi guys
Haven't chimed in much here lately. Been pretty busy at work and at home with the little one. Resolution and its crew will be staying around the Long Island area for a little while. We do have a tentative trip taking us to Westhampton Beach, Townsend Marina - Greenport, Montauk Yacht Club around beginning of July. Maybe we'll meet up with other members on our "big" trip this year.
We hope to possibly make it to the rendezvous where ever it may be. Boston may be a little far for us, but it definately sounds like a great destination. I remember doing the Cape Cod Canal to Boston with my folks back in high school. It was a great trip.
We will always be up for a small rendezvous in the Great South Bay any time during the summer. Members in the GSB UNITE!!!!! You know who you are and the drinks will be plentiful!

Boston/June/Stripers
Hi Ric. There will be plenty of bass around during all of June. We see them start showing in late April and are pretty thick by mid to late May depending on water temp. During the month of May they are scattered chasing schools of herring going up the rivers to spawn and we find them by casting lures under the diving birds. By June their numbers peak and we do lot of chumming and chunking of live lining eels or pogies. If Dougsea goes with Boston, you can bet a bunch of us will add striper fishing to the activity list. I haven't checked the tide charts for those weekends, but the outgoing works best up here.

June in Boston
The last weekend in June is a little sketchy, but I will make it work if necessary. This is the weekend my boat club will be holding the annual "Take a Kid Fishing" on Saturday. I was going to mate onboard a friends boat this year so no big deal ..... Any weekend in June will work for me. First day of summer the 20th and a good moon too.

Let's Meet
We are talking bout leaving RI on Thursday and doing it in 2 legs, maybe spending Thursday night at Kingmans, allowing us to attack the canal fresh and with a favorable tide on Friday. I say Kingmans because it is the only marina I am familiar with near the south entrance to the canal. Wickford to Boston charts out to about 108 NM, which is doable in one day, but it's a long one, and we would have to take the canal as we find it, when we find it, and then enter Boston (which looks pretty complicated) after a very long day.

Looks like Boston
Boston is pretty easy but I'm happy to act as pilot. I'll reserve a block of slips.
