Yanmar 6LPA toyota part numbers

Post by gcmarshall »

Hi – I think owners of the yanmar 6lpa would find the Toyota part numbers on this site to be of interest!

https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/genuine ... 4&vid=0&q=

This is for either a Toyota 1HD-FT or 1HD-FTE engine, am not 100% positive. I believe a Toyota Landcruiser 4.2 TDI 95-08 (but again, do your checks first)
The Toyota parts, wherever they are the same, are sooo much cheaper!

I have to get some seals (119771-00340 or 23681-17010) which are either $40 from the yanmar dealer or $5 from the Toyota place. Ridiculous!

This is great, but we can't get these parts in the US as the Toyota Land Cruiser Diesel was not sold here, instead the V8 gas was the only choice?
Yes, parts can be ordered from UK, but shipping and import taxes may cut into
savings.

Does anybody have a source for Toyota parts in the US?

That site is based in dubai.

I have also used cruiserparts.net which is north American based.

These are just generic landcruiser drawings.

Some parts are interchangeable. Others like pistons etc are not.

The yanmar is based on a 1HDFT engine if I recall and you need to be sure you have the correct engine with regards to cam belts etc as one has 112 teeth, the other 114.

I can list up the part numbers for a fair chunk of bits that are serviceable items like cam belt kits and filters if need be.

I was buying oil filters for my 6LP STE from a local Toyota dealer at a very reasonable price as I had an employee contact there. The only concern was the fact I had to buy by the case (10). I have since lost my contact and am now buying Napa filters.
