I made a similar posting on the Farcebook Albin 28TE page and a Gentleman pointed out that the remaining 10 gallons, for a total of 36, are in the HOT WATER TANK..
Duh, I stand corrected: In South Florida we never ever use the Hot Water Tank, it did not even cross my mind.
Yes of course we should use the aft deck shower only with the hot water.
(After it cools off and becomes lukewarm.)
My bad, I have owned and lived on numerous boats in the Caribbean and in South Florida, but none of these vessels had a Hot Water Tank)
March 07-2022 Correction to the above:
The hot water tank on the Albin 28TE is actually 6 gallons, not 10 as indicated above, hence the grand total is only 32 gallons with both tanks full.
Also: There is no way that I know of to actually use the 32 gallons without installing additional pumps and plumbing, therefore the usable fresh water on a stock Albin is only 26 gallons whereas they advertise it as 36.
(No wonder the tank emptied quick using the electric fresh water head as well as 2-3 showers per day)
Albin also advertised the holding tank as 20 gallons but delivered the boats with 10 gallon tanks.
No idea who was in charge of marketing back then but pretty sure they did not go to heaven when they died.
