Alvin 43 Rudder gland broken
Bronze rudder gland found broken just below packing area and about 2” up from hull. Break is located in block that supports both gland and axial bearing box. Gland is bolted to block and sealed with 3m5200 like calking. Does anyone know how the bearing box and gland studs are held in the supporting block? Does anyone know of a source for a replacement gland? Buck Algonquin does not sell an exact replacement.
