Our New Baby - 2000 31 TE - Hull No. 103
Well she finally showed up in Anacortes on Saturday (7/10). It took 5 days for her to come down from Ontario. The previous owner, Bob, was a jewel to work with and has kept the boat in immaculate condition. I couldn't be happier. Craig from Compass Marine is installing a trolling valve now and she'll probably be ready to launch next weekend. I'm having her new name put on the transom as well.... "Argonaut". I can't wait to head up there this weekend and go through the boat to learn the systems. Lots to learn. We'll be keeping her at the Kingston, WA marina which is about 10 minutes from our house. Thanks for all the assistance to everyone in this group. I look forward to learning more about the boat's systems as time passes. For now, I'm just looking forward to her maiden WA voyage from Anacortes down to Kingston in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations on the new ride! You'll have to share some pic's soon.
Kingston is one of my favorite destinations - I need to get back there soon. Tell Ray Carpenter that Anthony from Mad Money says hello!

Anthony,
As soon as we splash her, I'll post some pic's. Ray Carpenter is such a nice guy. We've been on the waitlist for a permanent slip since last October. Ray told me I could tie up at guest moorage for as long as it takes for the permanent slip to open up which was what finally convinced us we could pull the trigger on buying the boat. I can't wait!

Also, be careful if you're tempted to test out the new trolling valve... Chinook fishing closed early (July 8th) in Marine Area 7.

Greg,
I'll have to stay in step with the latest WDFW bulletins. I love the Fish Washington mobile app. For our first season with the boat, we'll likely stay in Marine Area 9 and fish for Chinook. Got a lot to learn. Fingers crossed we'll have some good fishing. We should be making our maiden voyage from Anacortes down to Kingston next weekend (7/24) in time to catch at least 3 weeks of the season.

Val and I are almost excited as you are. We can hardly wait to hear the outcome of your maiden voyage. Lots of pics of course?

Welcome aboard the AOG Forum and your newly acquired 31 TE. You've got a great boat paired with those 370 - 6BTA's .. take care of them and they'll take care of you.

Anthony,
Thanks. She's my retirement present to myself with my family's enthusiastic endorsement. She should be tied up at the dock in Kingston come Sunday.
