2001 28TE alarm issue

Hello All:
My 2001 28TE's alarm (for senders; low oil pressure, etc.) stopped working a couple of years ago.
I purchased another one and had a mechanic put it in place...however it still doesn't work....maybe it's not wired correctly....
Essentially my question is "how is it connected"?

I have attached a pic of the panel.

If anyone has a similar panel and can take a pic of the back of the panel (viewed behind the mirror) I should be able to figure it out...

Mine has recently done the same the past couple of weeks. There are two wires, one reads oil pressure and one is the alarm for low oil pressure.

In my case it’s a broken wire to the low pressure sender. I plan to just run an entire new wire through as I can’t find where the break in the cable is.

Hmm, ok.
I got a 2001 with the same engine, but have a grey Yanmar panel instead, curious why they used different panes for the same motor..?

Check the harness plug behind the mirror in the head, after looking at wiring diagram I was able to determine the wire was loose and pulled out of the plug. Not notable without tugging on it.

These panels are quite common place, especially in later installs. I’ve even seen the Bede gauge set up here in the U.K. on an Albin.

Nice thing about them is the tachometer is actually quite accurate.

The Yanmar tach was not accurate?

Never tried it, my boat came with a electronic tach courtesy of Floscan.
Had the original tach, but sold it, probably to someone here on this forum..
