Nothing important to say, just can't wait for the warm weather. Here's a pic of Legacy. A bit fuzzy, had to crank to resolution down to get her to post.

Abaco is awesome!
Good luck in Abaco. Fishing is terrific on the outside of the reef. Big Wahoo.

Unlike Albineers north of me this winter has been mild. We had our BIG storm come through this week. Prediction was 1/2 foot of snow. Not 6 inches. 1/2 a foot sounds so much worse. Also was predicted 1/2 inch of ice. That would have shut us down. We ended up with a little over 2 inches of snow and just a glazing of ice. It was messy for a couple of hours and that's it. Today the sun is back and I'm hoping for a turn towards spring. I've been watching the detailing threads and have all my supplies ready to go. Went to the Harbor Frieght store and bought a polisher, I've have my order in for new canvas, and have been playing with the new GPS in the basement.
So, the moral of this story is, I am ready for spring

Dogs sure love snow and boats ..... 10 inches here.
Just like you John, I've been nut gathering. Fuel & oil filters for the upcoming season arrived this past week, a couple of new swivel rod holders to replace the OE Albin holders on one side the other side next year. Sure would like some nifty new electronics, the new ones sure are nice and update so quickly, enjoy yours. I'm sure I'll use my GPS through 2010 until the tide minder expires. Sure could use a new fish finder. I think I'll just go shovel some snow off the deck and get my mind off the "what I need list" . Think Spring ..... DST March 9th .... Spring March 20th

Having lived in Duluth, MN (-45 degrees), Syracuse, NY (258 inches of snow one winter) and Korea (felt worse than either) I've come to appreciate the milder weather of GA, AL and TN.
Not that we don't have winter, there's just a lot less of it and it isn't continous.
Before aging caught up with me, I sailed Lasers in the winter. The Laser is about 14 feet of sailboat best sailed by 18-24 year olds, 6' 2", 180 lbs., individual in excellent physical condition. Some winters we'd have to break the ice back in the cove to get boats in the water. If (actually when) one capsized, when boat came upright and the sail luffed instead of water falling one would get a facefull of ice. Were we crazy, or what?
This winter has been mild, on Feb. 15th we took "Bella Donna" for a short two hour cruise on the TN River, Lake Guntersville in AL. All I needed to do was disconnect the heaters and remove the covers from the air inlets.
Friends and relatives from the Northern states tell me I don't appreciate boating as much because it is almost unlimited year round. Not true!
Hope you folks get back on the water soon!!!
