OK so here we go on the Major Engine and Drive Train refit:
1) Pull shaft and refit cutless bearing; re-stuff stuffing block.
2) Disassemble Big-A#$ Shaftsaver and refit as needed.
3) Experimentally fit 16x14 brass screw to see what happens when I try to back into tight slip and cruise at hull speed with less noisy revs.
4) Replace very old Racor with something that's not 35 years old.
5) Flush fuel tank after fitting new o-rings in filler cap
5) Rerun hot water lines to reduce pressure in coolant lines
6) Service Heat Exchanger, replace brackets, zincs and replace tricksey hoses in coolant lines.
7) Upgrade ER sound insulation
AOB discovered while doing the above
I look forward to at least a couple of years free of Lehman-worries; however, I should say that my old Peugeot Lehman 4D61 is GREAT - she just needs TLC occasionally and "purrs like a kitten till the lake pipes roar".

Re: Major refit in the Engine Room
Please post some results on that 16x14 screw when you get it in the water! I am using an 18x12 that is well matched for a similar sized motor. Have the minimum recommended tip clearance, but not much more. Did you get any decibel readings with your current prop?
I just refreshed my drip less seal and shaft coupling and am sympathetic to the work you’ve lined up. If you can find a fuel filter / water separator with a pressure gauge, I found it very useful.

Ill be pix-ing as the work progresses, and will certainly record the 16x14 performance.
