Anyone out there running without the bow rail, any pictures?
I need to remove mine for some glass repairs and kicking around the idea of leaving it off.
Cheers,
JB

Re: No bow rail????
I have also thought it would look really good with the bow rail off. I don't think you will find many, if any who have done it. I would just make your decision after you remove it about how it looks. I do think it could hurt your resale if it were gone unfortunately.

Re: No bow rail????
JBoone - which boat?
JK makes good points.
Just my opinion, but I'd never run a boat without bow rails. What would I hold onto when walking to the bow or leaning over to tie a line to a piling? Where would I hang my excess bow lines? Where would I rig fenders?

Aye, safety is much more important than looks.

Re: No bow rail????
i'll snap some pics when i get it removed for the deck repairs, my wife already said it goes back on!
I got a 2002 that lived in Naples FL that i believe is a Gatsby edition; mast, teak wheel and the aft bench seat. needs a good bit of work... good bones and the 700hr Yanmar is strong..

lol - I see there was no need to ask a bunch of random people on the internet!
Oh, forgot to say welcome aboard this forum (unless I said that in another post ). Look forward to seeing your projects . . . wish my husband was a boatyard guy!
