Virginia is cold but nowhere near as bad as Texas. Nothing a pot of beef stew with real suet dumplings and a hearty Syrah wont cure; that and few bourbons and ginger beer.
Very sunny though - can't wait to start on the ever growing layup list.

Oh I can’t deal with Stella anymore - tastes like metal.

I was insecure before I even noticed the insecurity warning. Much better now, I guess. Getting used to the fade in between pages will take a while to adjust to. Ok, done.

John, thanks for AOG!

Tree - I concur, but also remember Watney’s Red Barrel and (G. forbid) Courage Directors’ Bitter and anything from the Courage Brewery in Plymouth. Appalling mass-produced brews all. Wadworth’s 6X was the southern counties beer of choice for CAMRA back in the day. Nowadays the Real Ale choices are unlimited it seems, and CAMRA continues to thrive.

Come to think of - many barrels of that were consumed at my parents house in Clayhall Road with the Dolphin and West diving club - not forgetting when the barrel ran dry one Boxing Day party and another mysteriously appeared at half past midnight 🤣🤣

I’d forgotten about CSB; thanks for the memory. Can I still get a pint or three, and is Brickwoods still around?
