Got Aquatraction Installed

Post by Jkraft »

I got aquatraction installed last week and love the feel and the look of it. I wasn’t sure at first but it really made the boat. Will be Interesting to see how it holds up over time

Note- they sit a little higher so you will need to add a foot rest and they sit you further forward so you will have to modify the seat bracket to fit behind the wheel

Very very nice. I'd imagine in the $2,500 range?

About what I paid for a SeaDek job, but I should have used black seams/caulk and slightly darker decking, like in the above pictures:
My stuff needs more frequent cleaning.

We've been researching different products/brands over the course of a year and Aquatraction was our favorite. Over the winter, I read horror stories about how their customer service and installation quality went down due to some issues with company ownership (I don't know the full story).

In January, we stumbled across a local company at the Chesapeake Boat Show, Top Stitch Marine Canvas in Middle River Maryland, that picked up the Aquatraction product. It's still cut and made from the main factory, but this private company handled the customer service, measured/scanned our boat, worked with the manufacturer, and did the installation. The owner of Top Stitch, Zach, and installer, Brian, are great guys. Amazing customer service, great installation, and it comes with a warranty, including sun damage, that most other companies don't offer. Can't wait for the boat to go in the water tomorrow to get on it this weekend.
