Re: 25 runs but won’t walk
Here is what i have ahead of me.. Lewmar 110TT bow thruster arrived last weekend $865 on Amazon for a full kit. Its a bit on the small side and im thinking of installing behind water tank loosing a bit more ... but 55 lbf is still bit of force. Its 1/2 the price of a 80 lb thruster. I have a saying about milling machines... any mill is more accurate than any angle grinder and are also faster than any file

I think you were being facetious. However.......WillieC wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:33 pm Northern hemisphere, RH prop. There’s the problem.
My LH prop works every time, especially above latitude 49.

It’s a 3 blade. I’ve got over five Benjamin’s in this prop.... but I will keep my eyes open for a four blade, too. Same diameter and pitch? Or does that change when going from three to four?

Re: 25 runs but won’t walk
Why would a 4 blade create more prop walk?

Hey Burt, Thanks for the ride. A couple good points here I thought of on my trip home. Rudder size, prop pitch and hull design is what I came up with. Even with a breeze on the port beam the boat should have walked or drifted in. Every boat is different and part of the fun is learning how she handles.

A 4 blade prop will provide more thrust than a 3 blade which would translate to more prop walk especially in docking situations.

You are welcome! That was a great time—and last run for the season. Slow Motion now awaits winterizing and covering. I just flushed the cooling system with Salt-a-way. I saw your post on FB. Happy hunting!Scudrunner wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 9:23 am Hey Burt, Thanks for the ride. A couple good points here I thought of on my trip home.
