Leaving South Carolina heading for the Chesapeake.

Post by Panhdjoe »

We have our 36 prepped and will be Heading up the waterway next week. We have a slip at Norview Marina in Deltaville for Oct. We will use it as home base for cruising on the bay. Looking forward to some good Crabcakes and the vibe of the Bay. I love South Carolina, but nobody here knows how to make a good Crabcake. I only order them in Maryland. Open on suggestions on where to get the best ones.

Popes at the Oxford Inn, Oxford and Kentmorr Restaurant on Kentmorr Island. The Jetty near Kent Narrows is also very good. All do very good crab cakes. Kentmorr is more fun (and has good boat-parking); You can moor alongside The Jetty; this is a v. popular place. The Oxford Inn is more refined (shoes needed)

Arived in Deltaville yesterday, spent 11 days getting here. We spent an extra day in Orential and Portsmounth. We will hang out here for a few days, I have a few minor things to fix. Overall the boat did fine, all systems working.

We have been hanging out here in Deltaville for 2 weeks now. We have been held back from some of our cruising plans by weather issues.,other than an overnighter to Urbanna we have been here. We are driving up to Annapolis tomorrow since the weather on the bay includes gale force winds.
