AOG Member on RIdeau Canal

Post by DesertAlbin736 »

Been in touch with Stephen D, aka "sunsetrider", owner of A25 "Manatee" home ported in Gananoque, ON, Canada. At this very minute he's in the middle of cruising the Rideau Canal between Kingston & Ottowa, ON. (learned something new, "Rideau" is French for curtain, named after a waterfall that resembles a curtain of water). He sends his regard & these photos.

If any of you like to watch “Travel Scope” with Joesph Rosendo on PBS, he has done a episode where he travels the canal. He rents a boat in Ottawa and travels south through the system — pretty good viewing of some of the sights.

Season 11, episode 5 I think.
