Inverter

Post by Ben hild »

Hi I have a 28 sport fish express. I'm wondering where the inverter is. If there is one I noticed the main 110 braker also has reverse polarity written right below the 110 with a little light. Where can I find it and is there something else I have to turn on. To use it?

Hi, I have a 28 te and my boat doesn't have an inverter. You may not have a inverter. Check around to see if you see one on the boat. I'm in the process of putting one in my boat now.

Yea I'm not sure it does. I just noticed that it had a reverse polarity switch which I would think is an inverter. I will keep looking thanks

The reverse polarity light comes on if the shore power is wired incorrectly. The ground will be hot.

On our 28 the inverter was in the space under the quarter berth. You could see it if you opened the stair hatch and looked to port.

Hello, does anyone know where the inverter would be located on a 28TE 2000 engine box? I have shore power current but no current on AC outlets. There is no inverter under step, port side quarter berth.

An inverter would be an after build amenity installed by the owner. The post above yours shows one location. When I put one in m 28 I mounted it in the cabinet beneath the sink in the head up against the wall by the stairs.

Could be other causes of no power at AC outlets …. such as a GFI receptacle is popped thus taking out the circuit that is down current of it.

I found the gfi outlet in Portside storage, forward the sink. It was tripped. Thanks for the replies.
