Hello! I am a new to me Albin Owner!
Can’t wait to get to know you! I have spent the last 20 years dreaming of life on my own boat. I did 20 years in the US Navy, and now that I am retired, my start is with a1983 Albin 36! She is in pretty good shape and I only need to do some minor cosmetic repairs, plus a deck repair under the A/C. Other than that she is ready for taking me places I have never been. Please hit me up and give me advice as I am new to this world. I am in Pensacola Florida, for now! Hope to see some of you soon!

Welcome to the Albin forum. There is a wealth of information here for new owners - I was one 5 years ago, and was made most welcome. I found out very quickly that there are NO stupid questions, and plenty of great answers here.
How about some pix of your 36?

Nice distinction, and true!
Welcome, Campbellthoup. 20 years in the navy didn't cure you which is encouraging. Tell us about your adventures on your new boat.

Re: Hello! I am a new to me Albin Owner!
Welcome aboard! I'm a one hitch ex-Navy enlisted MM2 vet, but not a "lifer". I have a cousin Michael Jeffries who grew up in Pensacola, now lives in Bay St. Louis, MS & retired from the Naval Oceanographic Office at the Stennis Space Center as civilian technical director with the Fleet Survey Team. Maybe you've heard of this command?
He was recently widowed & says he'd like to get a large cruising sailboat in the 40+ foot size range. That's my cousin at center background in Hawaiian shirt. He's an avid surfer.
And this is my cousin Michael & his late wife Norma. A new FST HSV survey boat was named after her. She was the love of his life. His mother & my mother were sisters.
The story about the new boat named after his wife.:
