I motored to Bimini and back from Miami once on my 20' center console. 60 miles one way. Stayed the weekend partied and fished MAO. Best weekend I ever had, but I wouldn't do it again in a small of a boat. There are many other islands that can be reached from S. Florida and the keys - especially if you can make Bimini. :D

why wouldn't you do it again? My concern is once you've picked you weather you could be trapped their waiting for another window.

sounds like fun except the whole kids and work problem.

Honestly? I just don't want to tempt fate too much. In retro, it was a foolish thing to do.
