I thought I would share some pictures of the Refit of my 1984 27FC. Those of you who are purist will not like what is being done. Please remember the phrase "Happy Wife - Happy Life".

Looks fabulous!! Not only is the hull color very attractive but the new cabin top is very tastefully designed. Looks to me like a very successful project.

I'm a sucker for a shiny paint job. Looks great!

You stated it's a FC model. Did you modify the aft cabin? I really love the full hard top almost to the transom. Very nice.

I did a computer rendering for Capt'n Vic a few years ago when he was building his 27FC and needed ideas. The result was "Mary Jo". Your's looks very similar. Check it out...

Mary Jo was originally a 27FC but the previous owners had already removed the aft cabin and used her as a fishing boat.

Funny, but I just noticed... If you look at the reflection in the water of my rendering, you can see the original boat with the aft cabin and blue cockpit canvas!

Well these are these are the most recent pictures of the boat. I have been doing away with all exterior teak. (Hand rails, window trim and swim platform).

Paint over epoxy over teak?

My swim step is made out of 50 year old scrap, thoroughly used (though high quality) marine grade plywood. Trimmed to get away from the delaminating edges, then quickly glued and clamped back together, scuffed up and wiped off then painted with the dregs of the two-part barrier coat left over from the bottom paint job. Top coat is gray bilgekote.

Third year in could use more bilgekote, but solid.

Didn’t realize our Mary Jo was an inspiration for you too. We actually helped Paul connect with Vic a few years back before he started his project. Still loving our Mary Jo and hoping we can get her in the water soon! Here she is in the Keys when we brought her down from Virginia
