I replaced my windows I can give you dimensions, but unfortunately I had to replace alot of cabin rot.So the dimensions may be a bit off.I could not believe how badly designed these windows were.

I welded up stainless angle stock so the window has a flange on the exterior.I nstalled window channel on the inside of th frame.Used polycarbonate sheet from an industrial supply for the windows.Trimmed the inside made from burgundy plastic lumber to hide the stainless window channel. I'm rebuilding the boat so I didn't make the finishing trim yet. Bolted and caulked the frame to the cabin.

Joseph,

Do you have pics that you can post?? PLEASE! We are just about to replace nine of ours, and the exterior flange is really what I wanted but the glass guy said that it wasn't a realistic option. He said that with the new style track and modern adhesives there wouldn't be any problems.

Our exterior trim is spent and the glass is fogged between the layers, some of the interior veneer is ruined but there is no rot in the plywood. We're replacing with Solex saftey glass with a light bronze tint, to help keep things a little cooler when we're cruising in the southern states.

Were you able to get photos together? We are going to begin removing windows this coming week, and the glass guy is lined up for the first week in Jan.

I'm new here, looking for info on decks, I have an Albin 33. I have completed many of the project discussions I see here, tank replacement, windows, scupper leaks, all of it.

I removed my old windows and made flat cardboard templates to the cutouts. I had plastic windows made at Mark Plastics, of Corona, Calif. Do a Google search, they are easy to find. They open and don't leak, not a drop. They were not expensive.

I recommend them.

You can, but you have to "upload attachment". See the tab so named when you reply to this message, just below the box you type your message in:
UploadDemo.jpg
If you use the "place inline button like I did it will place the image in the body of your reply where ever the cursor is in your message. Simple and no photobucket......

Hi there, I have just replaced all my windows and have made a DVD of the whole process. I can probably answer most questions. Sebastina
