Hi,
I'm a new member and was wondering when a damper should be replaced. Mine has some loosness in the springs and I was concerned. The spline yoke is firmly mounted. I have the older Albin 27 and the hard to find 10 spline set up for my hurth/lehman powertrain.
Thanks

Hi Luke,
Welcome aboard!
We have a 1987 Albin 27 Aft Cabin which we keep on the Tennessee River. Ours has the Yanmar engine and the Kanzaki KBW21 transmission so I'm not much help with the question you've asked about your damper.
Back in the summer I installed a Garmin 3210c system: GPS, chart plotter, sounder, satellite weather & radio , also included a Garmin radome. Bought it about the time their new 5XXX systems were being introduced so the price was right. The system works well.
This board is extremely helpful, but has very few A27 owners, most are A28 owners. If you haven't tried it go to: AlbinCruisers@yahoogroups.com . Most of the folks on the list are A25 and A27 owners. I've gotten lots of A27 specific questions answered there.
You should get the AOG burgee. Looks great flying from the A27 bow.
Gene
