Never seen this boat before and in Fort Lauderdale, the City with 18,000 boats, an Albin 28TE is as rare as tits on a bull..

Interesting looks like the vents are turned the wrong way.

Why are they so rare in Florida? Even here in southern CA there are at least 5 in our small local harbors.

Not sure why, more of a New England type boat perhaps.
Single diesel is unusual around here except on work boats.
There used to be an Albin Dealer in Stuart, Florida, 90 miles North of me, hence a few boats sold up there.
I know of only 3 other Albin 28TEs in South East Florida and I surveyed 2 of them and bought one. Also surveyed one in the Tampa area but rejected it for minor stuff like the oil pressure gauge did not work.
(Owner should have repaired little stuff like that before listing the boat with a broker, lazy owner. )

I nearly imported a 98 28 with a 2009 yanmar called Grenadier from St Petersburg - got put off when I read up that the dripless shaft seal had been replaced with a stuffing box due to something silly like vibration caused by alignment. Actually found the owner had posted on here a few years previous and seemed he’d had a few issues with it. I later found out the buyer had grounded the boat, damaging the keel.
