That aft cabin has a LOT more room than mine.

I just use 2x4 uprights and polyester strapping. This shot taken after a marathon 3-1/2 hour first-time wrap before the next nor'easter. In my rush, forgot to add the belly bands before shrinking. Since then, been back to add a door to the foredeck and tighten things up. And continue to poke in corners, measure things, figure out the systems.

I think WillieC mistook your shed with your torch setup as your aft cabin. :)

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving!

Here's our winter storage plan (old photo from 2016 with old dinghy on snap davits).... :D

Lows are getting chilly lately. Winter is here, the lowest temps expected over the next 10 days is 39 overnight Saturday, thereafter ranging from 44 to 51 through 12/8, highs in the mid to upper 60s after a cool Saturday when the high is expected to be 56.

Your quite welcome, WillieC.

The giveaway was the 2x4 framing and the plywood sheathing.

I mean, doesn't everyone keep a lawn mower in their aft cabin or is it just me and Endurance? :)

"Winter work begins"... I do some stuff but I usually hibernate. I gotta recharge after a marathon of Albin work this past summer. I actually took 3 weeks of vacation time just to work on the boat this past year. Mrs Hetek wasn't so thrilled about it. 'Nuff said.

My winter cover goes on today. I use the "Kover Klamp" system and have since I had my A27 FC, "Bunkie". 3/4" EMT conduit held together with the "Klamps". It looks a bit like an erector set but it goes together fairly easy and is so strong you could stand on it.

Oops. I lied.

I had my A25 deLuxe shrink wrapped last year, but I did use the Kover Klamps on my wife's 15' Boston Whaler. My bad.

Thanks. It's fun to do. Especially with a new boat. A torch for sure. A dangerous tool, but in a decade of doing our former sailboat, never had a problem. I used to use an electric gun from the inside on the "roof," but very slow. Now use a small propane torch.

Next to us in the boatyard a "pro" was using 2x2s for supports. Save money?

Having just bought this 27FC, barely time to peer, poke, and plan before gets too cold. Be spring in no time!
