Help w. colors

Post by larryrotta »

Sometime during the Summer of '19 a member of this group posted a pic of their newly painted 28 before it
was launched, a lovely boat-- flag blue, white boot and apple green bottom. I've been trying to find it again for my painter but have been unsuccessful. Really hope someone can help me. Thanks.

Compadre paint 1.JPG
We repainted our boat last year with Flag Blue Awlgrip, light gray boot and black bottom paint. Can't say I've ever seen Apple Green bottom paint.

Here is mine, still rocking the factory flag blue gelcoat. Still looking good. Joined with green bottom paint

So this is the missing 28 and the inspiration for my color choice. Thank you JKraft. What green paint did you use? So far we are going with Petit Hydrocoateco , very expensive but will cover VC17 with little prep. We wil lmix their green with their white to get the green close to to yours. BTW my broker is Jaye Kraft in northern MI

Glad I could help! This is my first season with the boat and the paint is interlux Aqua. It’s about $125 a gallon and green is the bright green. I was amazed at how good it looked when it came out of the water. Almost no growth at all.
