Nancy, I did not need to connect a running length, but just short pieces on top of the Vacuflush holding tank .. ie; vacuum generator discharge to holding tank and holding tank to discharge pump .. both short sharp bends. I had first tried using the Trident (actually 102 / white hose), but it was just too stiff. Both the Saniflex and Trident 101/ 102 have helical wire, but the Saniflex is super flexible.
If you need to connect two lengths of hose, I would use a hose barb to hose barb connector. There's always a Challenge!

Re: outside smell from holding tank
Thanks, Kevin. We thought about using Saniflex for the entire project, but it was too new at the time to trust, so we stuck with the tried and true Trident (yes, also 102 white). Miserable to work with, but holds up against permeation.

Re: outside smell from holding tank
When I replaced the sanitation hoses due to permeating odors I used 2" pvc pipe and solid elbows cemented together. Only used about 1 foot of sanitation hose where a fitting would not work. Do need to securely support the pipe at various places. No more odors from hoses.
Have not yet added charcoal filter but will in near future. Re-routing vent to the aft starboard side is also under consideration.
To increase holding tank capacity I added a 10 gal tank in series with the factory tank. New tank fit well on top of old tank.

Re: outside smell from holding tank
Dale, good move to use PVC. Is the new holding tank plumbed into the old one? So just one pumpout fitting?

Re: outside smell from holding tank
Nancy,
Yes the two tanks are pvc piped together. Waste goes into top tank and drains into lower tank when not full. Only one pump out from lower tank is needed. Great for our trips to the Keys where pump outs are scarce and expensive. Also added Tech-Edge level sensors to both tanks, fresh water and windshield washer fluid. Really handy.

Re: outside smell from holding tank
I made a swaging tool from a wooden dowel and several rolls of tape around it. I heated the hose in very hot water and jammed it on the dowel. When it cooled it slipped right on the fitting I needed. Easy way to make metric/NPT conversions.
