How to tell- valve seals yanmar 315

Hi all, is there any way for me to tell if the valve seals have been done on a 315 yanmar I am looking at today? It’s an 02. Thank you,

Not w/o removing the valve cover; the new ones are green. Also, you can check the engine S/N the engines that need to be checked are listed. Do a Yanmar valve seal subject search on this site. Ask the current owner as well. He/she may provide details.

I called Yanmar with the S/N and they gave me the history of the engine actually engines!
