Don't snitch on me but I bagged a seat belt, buckle type strap from a super market shopping cart. It fit perfectly.

Reaching back in memory banks but I believe the ladder is made by Swimline and at one point I ordered a couple of replacement straps with the buckles directly from them.

Here is a photo of the buckle on my boat. I was going to order a replacement this week and currently have a velcro strap on it the past month. Works great so far.

Not a bad memory for an "old guy", Jack!
The ladder is made by Windline though ..
Guys & Gals, Here's a link to their replacement strap ..

Re: Swim ladder strap, bungee or other solutions?
Kevin, I just ordered replacement clips and while I was at it got the replacement strap for kicks. Not what I was expecting.
For those in the know, is it a 2 piece strap? As pictured above, that short length with the buckle won’t fit around the ladder. Unless I’m missing something obvious. Appears that the previous owner had already replaced the strap with something other than the original.

Re: Swim ladder strap, bungee or other solutions?
I just received mine and I have the same issue.... I believe y original one has 2 snaps and this one has just one and it doesn't fit around the ladder. I will verify this weekend. This replacement snap is a completely different type then the photo I posted as well.

And... has anybody repacked the clips that hold the steps in place? Already dropped one in the water. Fortunately they sent 2 sets. There’s a groove but I can’t tell if the larger of the 2 clips (each set has a small and large clip) goes in first. And it’s more than a challenge trying to get them into the grove on the stainless leg. Asked the factory for instructions but never heard back.
You would think it would be simple...

Re: Swim ladder strap, bungee or other solutions?
Well, it sounds like there are some different systems out there. On my '02 - 28Te and '06 31 TE .. I had and have the Windline ladder with two piece strap and buckle system.
It looks pretty similar to what Nancy posted, but my strap and snap buckle is bolted through the swim platform deeper back and the other strap & snap buckle is screwed into the underside of the bottom step. I just reach under the swim platform and grab the strap bolted through and bring it toward the strap & buckle on the bottom step. I do this on my knees and one handed. No interaction with the great whites!
Here are some pictures from my 31 TE:

That pic - the one with the strap - explains a lot. Now about that shark. Yikes!
