A/C 28 Albin TE

Post by dgetswet »

Okay so the newest problem with this boat. Last year for the month I had it worked fine. Now I get an error message HPF which is my understanding the unit is not being cooled by the raw water.
I checked the seacock is open but no water coming out. The A/C unit is located in the bow. Does anyone have the same set up? Can you tell me where the water pump is located. For the life of me I cannot find it.

Any suggestions or help appreciated. Taking things one step at a time.
Thanks

Ok? It worked for 1 month?

AC not working?
Either cooling water problem or electrical problem: I can run battery charger and AC on a 15 amp circuit, barely.
If wifey does laundry or plug in her electric car, the Albin AC is out of business. (Private dock on a 200 amp home circuit)
Using the 30 amp system it is no problem.
Please elaborate.

The pump on mine is just forward of the seacock next to the shaft. According to Ken Hilton at Standish boatyard(former big Albin dealer) it is not uncommon to have to disconnect the feed hose to prime the pump if it has not been used recently.

Well Thanks again. I opened and cleaned the strainer put it back and started it up. Water started immediately. That's why I like asking questions here you do get good advice.
Thanks
