The original holders are hunks of plastic. Elsewhere on AOG someone is hunting them down, or replacements. Consider rare earth magnets. I use them on my electric panel cover beneath the helm. Get 'em free from your old computer hard drive. Or Home Despot.

Magnets are not a bad idea! Thanks! . I will look around. Neo magnets tends to be brittle but I might find some that has a cup around them. The closest to the original I found was this https://www.easternmarine.com/low-profi ... lder-10665 but it is black.

Time to put in new curtain rod hangers. Bought them and new air intakes from Albin Motor. Shipping was very reasonable. The new ones has a center hole so they take three screws. Im bedding them in with 5200. Hopefully it as tenacious on this as other stuff. I never want to take these out. I made a drill guide that has the drill stick out 1/4”. I drill all new holes. I was debating what adhesive to use. Nylon is hard to bond. Epoxy does not stick well to it. Urethane is much better. Epoxy in the holes and urethane bedding would be ideal but there are 32 of those darn things.

Oh nice! We removed all of those old clips (half of them were already gone) and the rods as well and will replace with something else, probably some kind of wire contraption. Could of course just bought new ones for the missing ones but oh well...

I sweden i recall using plastic coated springs. Bowden cable outers with ring bonded into the ends could work but if you have the original rods it is very economicsl to get new holders from Albin Motors. Best part is that it takes no thinking. Just work:-)

This is an old photo of our cabin saved from the PO's original CL ad, but it hasn't changed much since then. Mini blinds on the long windows & curtain across the front. Ditto the aft cabin, mini blinds on side windows, curtain across the rear window. The curtain tracks are screwed into the cabin wall above & below the windows with very short, small screws that don't punch all the way through the 3/16" thick fiberglass The brackets & bottom end clips that hold the miniblinds are held with #8 machine screws that go through the cabin walls & have s/s cap nuts on the outside. This pretty much how the boat was when we bought it, a lot of interior updating & restoration already done. And of course much more since then with all the other various projects over the last five years.

Curtains are attached with sliding tracks similar to but slightly different from these that are sold by Catalinadirect.com. These aren't cheap, at least these ones at Catalina Direct, $47 for 48" sections.

Those are really a good value! Still quite a bit more than replacing the clamps but that’s certainly a good option

Got all my stuff from Albin Motors installed. Its awesome that one can still get parts. Saves a lot of time! All new curtain rod hangers, few bottom plugs and two new air intakes was about $135 with fedex shipping. It was here within a week after ordering.

Very neat! Our settee cushions are a similar blue color, maybe a bit darker shade toward Navy blue. Keeping sun out is a bigger deal for us. Curtains that the PO installed are opaque & lined with white fabric on the back side, and of course they put in mini blinds on the long side windows. As for those vent caps on the stern deck, I don't have any photos of them since I installed new ones last month, but this is what they look like from catalog illustrations. $10.90 with tax for the pair from a local RV supply store.

Thanks! The vents you found look very similar. I was shopping around a little but I figure that avoiding drilling new holes is a good thing and i was ordering the curtain rod holders anyway.

I bought the original vents also, from Albin Motor, in Sweden. They're still available!

I had to buy a new cutlass bearing anyway (evidently, an Albin-only product, now made entirely of composite - no more bronze) so I put a couple of the vents in the order also.

Leave it to DA to have a source for almost everything Albin A25. Let me rephrase that... EVERYTHING A25!
