I know a guy up in BC who has AD21s laying around like old VW engines. (I jest, though he did find an intact spare about ten minutes from where he lives on an island!)
Hang in there with that engine. It is extremely robust and is duty rated for serious running. I thought the Ancient Volvo Penta was overkill. Nothing like the AD21. I am not sure if I am jealous or relieved that I don't have one. You'll get it. Vibration? Noise? Pffftt. Solid, not like Sears.
