Stanchions...
Anybody know of a source for the original stanchions for a 25? I only have one remaining on the boat. Would like to put them back. Hopefully I can find some reasonably priced?

Are we talking lifeline stanchions like these? We have a total of six on our boat.
I don't know if there is such a thing as an "Albin original" stanchion or if sticking to "original" makes any real difference, but Defender sells an assortment of stanchions and rail parts like these Vetus stanchions. Like any marine grade 316 stainless steel components they ain't cheap, so hold onto your wallet. You could probably find same or similar at a number of other chandleries & suppliers, online or otherwise. It would cost between $360 to $480 for the tubes plus $120 to $342 for the bases to purchase six of them. That's a total cost range from a low of $480 to a high of $822 for tubes and bases depending on tube height and type of base selected. B.O.A.T.!!
Some folks don't care about having lifelines or not, but I appreciate them when walking the narrow side decks to go up to the bow.

Thank you for the link, I only care that they use the original bolt holes. I’m also missing the rail around the stern. Previous owners seem to have misplaced at least the stanchions. As you say, hold on to my wallet! Lol

I hear that. And it's as, if not more, important to keep yourself on board too. Never hurts to practice MOB procedures. Wouldn't be too big a deal to fill in & redrill holes, especially if they're through the outer deck lip. I'm surprised at how many A25's don't have stern rails, but custom ones could be made, and again, all that costs money. Tubing & rail fittings are kind of nickel-dime items, ie base, corner, angle, tee, and end fittings mostly in the +/- $20 range each, but they do add up. I spent close to $1,500 just for my Garhauer dinghy lift davits.Only real reason I want them is for extra safety to keep my son onboard.

How much of a pain are they to get past when you are walking up to the front deck? Wy wife want me to install life lines on driftless but im a bit concerned over making it tight when going past the wheelhouse.

I removed mine first thing. I found them dangerous - but probably good for kid safety. I always felt I was going to trip overboard. Then again I am not as agile as DA!

I'm not all that agile. You're talking about someone who fell off a ladder five years ago, whacked his head on concrete, got an MTBI brain bleed, woke up in the hospital with event amnesia, spent 4 days in ICU, and as a result is forever stone deaf in the right ear and "nose blind".Then again I am not as agile as DA!
Life lines make me feel more secure & I have no trouble traversing the side decks & making use of hand rails. Bonus: they're a good place to hang fenders from anywhere along the sides. Ours have pelican hook cable latches on the aft end of the cables so we can drop the segment between the stern rail & the first stanchion for boarding. I'm used to sailboats where lifelines are mostly de rigueur.

Sure but I haven’t removed the bases. They are handy for fenders.
