1988 albin family cruiser Isuzu 157hp

I have a 6BD1 Isuzu with 157hp in my 1988 27 foot albin. The serial number on the engine cannot be identified, I was wondering if anyone has the same engine and could give me their serial number. Or could give me the part number to the starter for this engine. Thanks

I have the same engine...but no idea where the number would be. Have you information on where to look? I will be at the boat in the next few days and can take a look. Also, I suppose you have been in touch with Isuzu dealer/service folks...any help there?

It’s on the left side of the engine block just above the oil pan. I’ve tried everywhere and they all tell me the same thing.. they need a serial number.

This is not directly off the engine but rather off the engine manual cover where the PO had noted it.
6BD1 PW-01 Serial No: 573750
