Re: Albin Chesapeake Rendezvous planned for September 22 weekend
Quest is planning to attend. I think a Fall rendezvous will be great. The weather is usually good that time of year. Cambridge Yacht Club was a wonderful place for the rendezvous a few years ago and I look forward to their hospitality this year. Thank you so much for stepping up and organizing this event. I will do anything I can to help.

Does the yacht club have a space we could use for a guest speaker on Saturday? We would need a computer and either a large monitor or projector and screen. I can bring my computer if necessary. If these are available, I will try to line up a speaker from the Chesapeake Bay Pilots Association. They gave a presentation at Eastport Yacht Club a couple of years ago that was excellent. It gives pleasure boaters a good perspective on what the ships have to deal with while transiting the bay. As long as space is available, the CYC members will be welcome to attend.

28TE, Just Sayin’ will be attending this great event. In addition, I’ll be participating in the Skipjack race as crew on the Dee of St Mary’s (no. 16). It will be a fun weekend!!

Re: Albin Chesapeake Rendezvous planned for September 22 weekend
Oh, we'd like to go but we will have just returned to AZ from our summer cruise in British Columbia. But we had a great time visiting Cambridge when we trailered our boat out East from Phoenix in 2015 & spent 4th of July docked at Cambridge YC that year. Cambridge YC has a lovely club house & excellent facilities.
July is not the most comfortable season on the Chesapeake, and were it not for other commitments on that trip we would rather have come out in late September or early October. Might I also recommend to anyone having the time & inclination taking a run up the Nanticoke River to Blades in Delaware & stop in at the Nanticoke River Yacht Club. They have Friday night dinners & Wednesday happy hours at the club house next to the marina. My late stepdad was a member & just before his passing was made honorary commodore. Tell them Lee's son sent you.
Have a great time y'all!

We hope to be there with our (new to us!) 28, Expletive (previously the Muddy Duck). We have some work obligations around the same time, so we will probably have to make the commitment the week of.

Re: Albin Chesapeake Rendezvous planned for September 22 weekend
I made my reservation yesterday and will be arriving sometime Friday. Looking forward to seeing everyone. I wasn't sure until recently that I would be able to make it. Quest was on the hard with a broken bow thruster. Replaced the bow thruster and all is good now except for the dent in my bank account.
