Yanmar 315 6LPA seems sluggish
MY 28TE has a 315 6LPA and seemed sluggish, today. This is the first time I had it out this year and the waves were 2 to 3 feet and there was a head wind. The boat at 1500 rpm or below seemed "sluggish"..........and, of course, the engine in loud......as it always is......(motor box model...2005 with 510 hours)........the engine temp is about 190 and the oil pressure is about 40 at 1000 rpm and 75 at about 2000 rpm..........just checking with the more experienced members...thanks.

At 1500rpm, you’ve barely got the turbo spinning.

Is it wet slipped? If so, and this is the first trip out your bottom, or underwater metals-prop, may be fouled with growth. 190 at 1500rpm seems a bit high also.

At 1500 RPM in 2-3’ seas and with a headwind, yes it should be sluggish.
Double the RPM and it will wake up.

190 seems a little hot.
My 28TE with the same motor doesn't seem to hop up until I'm over 3000rpm.
2000rpm gives about 8 knots
3300rpm gives about 18 knots
