27FC Automatic Transmission

Post by dscott »

I have the Lehman Peugeot 4D61. I was checking the transmission fluid level. There was only one line at the lower end of the dipstick. Is a fluid level above this line ok or should the fluid level go up further? I saw no other markings.

Thanks

I believe it should be right at that mark. That's where mine is

The Lehman / Hurth owners' manual says to check ATF level without screwing the dipstick down. Just take it out, wipe it off and drop it in. Pull it out and if level is good, at the engraved line, then tighten down. Don't overfill, and be careful not to drop the soft washer.
