Cockpit drawer lockable latches
I replaced two of my lockable drawer latches with a Southco M1-43. I had to use the back plate from the old latch to make it work but I now have two working latches. The pull handles get brittle and breaks. Picture below is one of the broken latches.

Re: Cockpit drawer lockable latches
We had one break on an interior drawer. Ended up having to drill it in order to get the drawer open to repair the latch! Your post reminds me that I need to do the annual check of the latches so I don’t end up doing that again!

Re: Cockpit drawer lockable latches
I just had one break in my 2000 31TE. It was on one of the cabinet door hatches above the full size bed in the cabin.
After speaking to Southco, the PT# is M1-63 on the second page of the link below (pp 223)

Amazon, iboats.com and Bisco Industries all carry them.

Hope this helps.

Re: Cockpit drawer lockable latches
Thanks for the info on the cabin latches. So far my indoor latches haven't broke. I'm replacing another outdoor latch in a drawer Friday night. One beer project.
