My new deckhand

Post by gerygarcia »

Well, some of you might have noticed I haven't been on the site lately.
My wife was pregnant and expecting our first - Due in December. Well
on October 11th at 1:20 pm we had our unexpectedly early daughter!
Been keeping me on my toes and pretty busy to say the least.

Her name is Marissa Rea Garcia.

Mother and daughter are doing great.
Marissa came out kicking and crying 2 pounds 12 1/2 ounces.

Hopefully she'll be home in time for Thanksgiving. We'll see!

Anyway, she's the cutest addition to the crew of Resolution.
She'll be getting her sea legs soon enough!!!!

Congratulations! She's small enough to get into those hard to reach places in the bilge. Good plan!

Two pounds, twelve and a half ounces...Are you sure she's a keeper?
I wouldn't want to see you get into trouble with Fish & Game!

If I only had her earlier, she could of changed my dripless shaft seal without removing the whole engine!

Yeah she's definately a keeper. My wife is the "Fish & Game" warden in the family, and she said she is a record catch!

BTW shes 3 pounds now and growing.

Thanks everybody for the congrats!

You know, I was supposed to haul Resolution early this year before the baby came. I guess she'll be staying in for a little bit longer now! :D

Congrats Gery, enjoy every single moment of every single day. She might be 3 pounds today....in no time she's grown, borrowing the car keys and making you sit on the front porch with a shotgun........

Congratulations to you and your wife!! (And the rest of the Garcia clan!)

Mine are 13 and 19 and I can still remember the whole experience of my son's birth, it was quite a life changer!

(And those 19 years went by REALLY fast so take LOTS of pictures!)

Gery,
There are few things in life that make us so happy. The birth of a child has to be number one. I guess that would make boating number two.

Congratulations to you and the Admiral! She is a beautiful first mate.

Congratulations to you and your wife, she is beautiful! As many of the members said there is no more fulfilling or happier time than when you have a child. Mine are 21 and 24 and off on their own and the times we spent together were the best I have ever had. Enjoy every moment, spend time and it will pay you back for the rest of your life. Denis
