Randall, Thanks so much for your comments. Luckily, the previous owner of my boat replaced all the opening portholes with new Beckson Portlights. So far, no leaks from these......... but plenty elsewhere..................... I'm working on these now. Thanks again, chuck bland, Beaufort, NC
ps: From your comments, I think I would be advised to keep the gaskets on the Beckson Portlights lubricated with vasoline................ another project!
