ALBIN 28 TE ( Scotland) Advice
Hi
Just recently bought an Albin 28 TE with a 370hp Cummins.
Can anybody advise how to lift the deck hatch to inspect the fuel tank ?
Does the fuel tank have inspection lids ?
Leaking side wheelhouse windows does anybody have any history in these ?
Regards
Mark MItchell

Re: ALBIN 28 TE ( Scotland) Advice
Welcome to the group Mark. I have a 2001with a 370b. Vessel has a Gatsby rear seat. To access the tank I removed the screwed down portion of the rear deck (aft of engine box). This involves re-sealing with silicone when re installing. (Not fun). There is an tank inspection port where the fuel feeds and fuel gauge enter tank. When removed hole it is large enough to allow you to view the centre compartment of the tank. I had algae problem which required the cutting of additional inspection ports to access balance of tank for cleaning. I considered installing an inspection lid in deck but its still on the list.

Go to the document library - there is a drawing of the fuel tank.
