original engine AD21 reliability
Considering a 1972 Albin 25 with 900 hours on a rebuilt AD21, how would you feel about the reliability of such a drive train?

Re: original engine AD21 reliability
I have an AD21 and can confirm it is very reliable. You can view a thread on my rebuild of this engine here viewtopic.php?f=28&t=9868
All parts are available from Albin Motor in Sweden. http://www.albinmotor.com/AlbinMotor/english/index.html You can order on the web and expect delivery in about a week.
The transmission requires that you avoid idling for long periods in neutral. This is to avoid "cooking the oil" between the clutch spring and cone. If you need to idle for more than 15 minutes, tie it to the dock and put it in forward. If you do buy it I have lots of information I can forward to you on operation and care..
