Peninsular Engines
Does anyone know the status of Peninsular Engines out of Grandville MI?
I call them and the phone is disconnected. And the website says under construction.
I wonder if they went out of business.
I had been speaking with Matt at 616-530-1298

Re: Peninsular Engines
I'm afraid it's true that Peninsular is closed. The website is gone and the phone is disconnected. This will make resale a little more difficult.
There must be parts left in the building. Hopefully someone will purchase all the leftover stock as the assets are sold.

Re: Peninsular Engines
Unfortunately it is. But, I really think someone will step up and take over production.

Re: Peninsular Engines
I’ve recently found out they are available over here in Europe. There’s is a Swedish company that use the same engine but it’s under a different name. It is still listed as a GM engine so I would assume parts will be around for a good while yet. I’ll try and find the advert of a boat that had a pair in it so I can confirm the name it’s under here.

Re: Peninsular Engines
Performance Marine in Texas looks encouraging for those with the Peninsula GM engines.
Anyone had contact with these people?

Re: Peninsular Engines
I know Marinediesel but i think it differs in the marinisation. I don’t need any parts right now but in case of trouble it would be nice to know where to get a water pump, turbo Charger, parts of the exhaust system, aftercooler and so on...

Re: Peninsular Engines
The 6.5 diesel is used in Humvees built by AM General for the US military so parts and the non-marinized engine should be available for a long time. The updated and much better block was cast by International

Re: Peninsular Engines
Not a good situation, I called the Texas based company that Marinizes the 6.6 Duramax and he recommended I call “that guy in Michigan” ??(Matt/Mitch)...so nobody knows where to get those peninsular sourced parts like turbos, exhaust components, aftercooler etc,,

Re: Peninsular Engines
I went to order one the other day and was shocked to get a disconnected number.
Mr Cool can build heat exchangers coolers although they don't have them in stock.
I had these guys rebuild my injection pumps a while ago http://conestogadiesel.com/
They aftercooler may be an issue but it can be recored. Everything else is off the shelf parts.
Can anyone tell me what the part numbers are on the 310hp 6.5 peninsular turbo cartridge?
I have a box from the last one I ordered Borgwarner with a serial number on it. I believe it is an s200? Can anyone confirm or supply a cartridge number?

Who bought the inventory?
