Instrument switch/fuse panel background lights
Searched all over but cannot find a control for the switch/fuse panel background lights aboard my 28'TE. Would be nice to have for night operation. Can't find anything about the panel in the operating manual. Any suggestions?

I believe they come on with the running lights.

Re: Instrument switch/fuse panel background lights
My original switch panel (1999) did not have backlighting. My (Yanmar) engine panel had a switch for engine instrument lights. When I did my new panel I did backlit switches, independent on / off from the running lights and a dimmer for the circuit.
I believe Russ is correct that if you had them they would normally be on with the running lights.

Re: Instrument switch/fuse panel background lights
On my 28 with a peninsular there is a switch on the engine panel that controls the instrument lights

Thanks for your responses. However, the panel lights o not come on with the nav lights - that would be nice! Guess I will resort to a flashlight or Braille. Something I can live with.
