Bow roller with a Mantus anchor
New anchor roller with a Mantus anchor. Roller Sea Dog 328064. $105 from Go2Marine. Boat had no roller system before. Installs pretty easily. Locate, drill holes, enlarge the core, refill with quick setting epoxy, redrill holes, used a large piece of Ipe as a backing plate, bolt down.

I like Go2marine. They & Defender are my favourite online vendors.

Re: Bow roller with a Mantus anchor
Another "Ipe as a backing block" user! Hard as a rock and half the price of Teak. It does have some weight though. I heard it is one of the few woods that will actually sink in water.
I've used it as a transom stiffener/swim platform/ ladder backing block material. Worked out great.

Re: Bow roller with a Mantus anchor
I have a pile of small Ipe pieces left over from decking our porch.
