Rob, S
Good Luck in Milwaukee, we hope your daughter has a great time competing.
We will miss you at Sailfest but maybe we can hookup somewhere this summer.
We plan on a couple of salt pond trips and maybe Greenport. If you go up the Thames give us a call.
ps
Have extra bumpers to line the dock for Doug!

Glad to hear we have new members on Good Grief, Fred and Patti. We look forward to meeting you guys and appreciate you coming down to New London. We will have a good time and you will meet at least 6 other Albin Owners.

Bring your bathing suits as we have a nice pool here at the boatyard. I think Crocker's is trying to have all the Albin's on our dock #3 and setup a picnic area for barbeques.

Doug and Kathy will be arriving Friday AFTERNOON!! (Okay, that's because Kat will make sure we leave on time!)

Dave - Kat wants to check with you and Annette regarding what we should bring (appetizers, food, etc) if you have anything specific you're looking for.

Sorry RobS and the girls won't be there but I'm sure we'll catch up before the summer is over.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Hi Everyone,
Diane and Chris will be coming on Midnight Rambler 4 and arriving early Friday afternoon (hopefully). Wasn't actually sure if we were going to make it as the boat just went in last Saturday. Last year we made it as far as Sag Harbor and had to turn back because of broken fasteners on the shaft hub and were out of town the year before. So, we look forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new Albin owners. Fred and Patti look forward to seeing you!
Is there a schedule of events for happy hour dingy cruises, dinner, midnight skinny dippin' etc...?
Also, what can we and what should we be bringing to contribute?

Hello,
We purchased an Albin 35TE this spring and are planning a cruise this weekend. I checked with Crocker's and they still have slips available and we would love to join you.

Hello Victoria and Lee
It would be great if you guys could make it. We are always happy to meet new people and have them join the AOG group. My wife Annette and I also have a 35TE and it would be nice to check yours out. We are planning on hors d'oeuvres
for Friday night and potluck on Saturday before the fireworks. There are many restaurants within walking distance and Sailfest will be in full swing.

The swing bridge at Shaws Cove is on channel 13 and that gets you into Crocker's boatyard. Let us know about when you will arrive so we can assist you on the dock.

Hello all! Hoping everyone had a fun and safe 4th. As of yesterday we will be eight boats in attendance. We plan to have a potluck heavy hors d'oeuvres and adult beverages on Friday as most boats will arrive then. If anyone is still hungry after that there are good restaurants well within walking distance. Saturday we'll have our customary pot luck supper. We will provide the grilled entree if you each will contribute a side or dessert. Any other suggestions are welcome. For anyone interested, there is a good website listing and mapping dining, activities, points of interest in New London (www.newlondonmainstreet.org).

Looking forward to seeing everyone....safe voyage!!!

Susan, is that a challenge - are you an ex-twirler? :D

Funny you mention that - here's Grace at the NE Rendezvous in Essex back in 2009 twirling away at the Sat night pot luck dinner.

She's grown a tad since then and her skills have improved a wee bit too! Heck John Collins himself came up from MD to CT that year so we had to keep the entertainment flowing.

Another successful Rendezvous, the 11th Annual, July 7, 8 and 9, 2017, has been entered into the Albin history.
Thanks to the organization of Dave and Annette of the Wine Down, ten Albins (4 – 28’s, 2 – 31’s, 3 – 35’s and 1 – 36) plus two guest boats attended at Crockers Boal Yard, New London, CT. Friday evening was enjoyed with heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks on the dock. Saturday was spent exploring town and Fort Trumbull. Nighttime brought the Pot Luck Dinner, with Dave and Annette supplying the set-up of tent, paper goods, utensils, etc. and the grilled meats and salmon entre’. Thanks to them both for their grilling expertise. A bonus was Sunday’s breakfast of various quiches homemade by Annette.
Saturday night also featured an impressive 30 minutes fireworks show adjacent to the Marina, courtesy of Sailfest 2017.
Those who have been to previous Rendezvous’ know what an enjoyable experience it is. For those who have never attended, be sure to monitor the web site as early as February for the date, time and place of the 2018 Rendezvous. Also be sure to indicate your intentions on the Rendezvous website in a timely manner to ensure adequate slip availability and your food contribution in order to provide variety. Rendezvous is not only an opportunity to explore new venues but also an opportunity to visit with other Albin owners, check out the boats and pick up new outfitting and other ideas.
Thank you again, Dave and Annette, for all your efforts in organizing, setting-up, providing entré’s, etc. You did an outstanding job!! KUDOS!!
OK, all you IT pro's; hope you can rotate these successfully! Thanks!

It was great to meet all of you. The food and fireworks were fantastic worth the 110 mile run to get there. On the way back we had lunch on the Connecticut River stopped for the night in Guilford, had lunch near Mt Sinai and Spent the last night on a mooring in Price Bend, Northport Bay. Then down the east river through Hell's Gate, past Miss Liberty and home. It was a great mini vacation.

Thank you all for the friendship and the inspiration.
