2017 "Splash" tomorrow!

Well....'ve been working tirelessly for the past two weeks...tomorrow is the day.
Here's what
I did this year....as this is the first full season with my 97 28TE.
Installed Webasto 9K AC unit....all ducting, plumbing and wiring. Unfortunately, my boat was not prewired.
Removed all existing bilge pumps and shower pump....along with all of the bilge hoses. I replaced with Shields 149 livewell hose, wil vented loops installed in the bilge pump hoses, and a high loop installed in the shower pump hose. I believe my issue with water entering the bilge in rolling seas will now be rectified.
Installed new macerator pump
Installed new fresh water supplied toilet. "Raritan Fresh"....pretty cool design. No more rotten egg water smell.
Removed old transom lettering and CT registration numbers and replaced all....with

I'll say it again....I've owned over 30 boats (no BS). The Albin 28TE is the most well thought out and designed boat I've ever owned. And....it's functional and attractive too.

Hey Gerber - how do you like the 31? We just sold our live aboard....and we are considering moving up to either 31TE or 35TE. That won't happen real soon....but likely will in the future. The Cummins 370's must afford the 31 a super respectable cruise...I'd guess mid to upper 20's. Wondering if you'd looked at singles...as I've become a fan of simplicity.

The 31 doesn't "seem" much bigger. Does it feel so?

Taggteam we love our 31. As far as size difference it is crazy how much bigger 3 feet longer and 2 feet wider makes a boat...its everything I loved about my 28, just bigger. I was also leaning towards a single but when I found this one with the twins, its was just too clean of a boat to turn down. Access is quite good on the engines and maneuverability is incredible. Cruising offshore is nice at 21 knots too. You cant go wrong single or twin, they were just well thought out boats...

When I was looking at 28s to buy I checked out a few 31s and they are massive compared to a 28. Shockingly so. I would love a 35'or a 32+2.
