Since it's the middle of the week, lets do some virtual cruising. Here's how it works, post Google Maps links of your favorite destinations, or places you think you'd like to go in your Albin (or any other boat). Then, describe it. Bonus points for screen shots or on-location pictures.
I'll start:
My first and foremost favorite is Shallow Bay on Sucia Island State Park, though just about anywhere on the island is a treat. The sun usually sets right over the entrance to the bay with the mountains of Vancouver Island in the background. It's truly my favorite. The only catch is that it's also the favorite of hundreds of other boaters, so you're rarely alone.

I can't really nail down any one cove or spot in Desolation Sound as being the best, but collectively, this are is about as great as they get.

Another one of our favorite little spots that is close by is one we call Little Fish Trap. It nearly drains all the way at low tide, so it's a place you can only stay if you watch your tides carefully. And although it's lined with houses, few are visible from the water, so you feel like you're all alone up in some jungle.

And about 180 degrees from the solitude of Little Fish Trap is the bustle of downtown Seattle's Bell Harbor Marina. This marina is quite literally nestled between the skyscrapers and cruise ships. Spending a weekend at Bell Harbor is akin to having a million dollar condo in downtown Seattle. You're only blocks from Pike Place Market as well as the tourist attractions on Alaskan Way.

It took me a week to think about this one. Then I went through hundreds of pictures to answer this post. I can't! Everywhere I go is a favorite spot. But the best, number 1 place is coming home. We are lucky to have the shore shack. Even luckier to have friends and family to enjoy it with us. As much as I love boating there is no place like home. (weekend home anyway)
So, where are all the friends and family?
This is the Baltimore Islanders steel drum band. They played at one of our parties.
Later that night it was time for some blues. (I'm behind the guitar player on the left playing bass)
We also had some "fire eaters" for entertainment that night.
Friends and family having fun.
Of course the beauty of nature.
