Taylor Made Bow Hatch Albin 27 Sport

Does anyone know if I can source a new handle for an original hatch on my 1987 Albin 27. Manufacturer tells me they don't sell the part but the hatch works perfectly fine other than a broken handle - seems crazy to buy a new hatch when all I need is the port handle. Thanks in advance. Not sure if that handle is cast aluminum but if it is and you have the pieces, a good welder might repair it.......

I too have a Sport, but am far away from boat at the moment, so can't recall what it looks like.

But this is worth a look. Otherwise, a boat salvage yard?
