Depth sounder Faria

I am installing a Faria depth sounder with the in hull transducer.. Any hints or tips on the transducer install and location and of the guage . I am installing in a 1983 36ft Albin trawler thank you

what should I set the keel offset at on my 1983 36 albin trawler?

That will depend on where you mount it and if you want to show water under the keel or actual depth.
