Forward hatch rubber seal
Is there anyone that can tell me the specifications of the rubber seal for the forward hatch on the 2001 28 te?

Re: Forward hatch rubber seal
Hi Blueflame - It's probably a BOMAR hatch. A quick Google search for "bomar hatch gasket" will get you lots of purchase options.

Re: Forward hatch rubber seal
It is indeed a bomar hatch. You may also need to replace the seal it's mounted to the deck with as Albin in their wisdom used sealant when hatch tape should have been used. I replaced both a couple of years ago and never had a leak since.

How would one replace the deck seal? I have a small leak in the hatch, and for the life of me cannot find the source.

Re: Forward hatch rubber seal
The deck seal is easier. You will need a roll of 1" wide by about 3/16" thick neoprene hatch tape. The hatches were originally fitted by Albin using silicon sealant. With the hatch and deck not being perfectly flat - the silicon will come away over time. With the hatch tape, it takes up any error and seals the hatch to the deck perfectly!
